Contour Construction and Interiors Ltd are a multi-faceted construction business offering an end-to-end service across a range of disciplines and are based at Heathrow Airport.

Contour pride themselves on their knowledge of the Airport environment and know better than most the compliance requirements and operational constraints that need to be considered when delivering construction projects at Heathrow.

CLIENT CHALLENGE

Contour Construction were looking for a supplier who could deliver to the same standard as them and who really understood the complex Airport environment. Contour needed a supplier who could deliver multiple larger projects as well as smaller maintenance repairs in operational environments.

OUR SOLUTION

There was a requirement to remove existing access control in a live office space at Starlight Point, Heathrow Airport to accommodate Contour Construction installing new rated Fire doors and frames.

The access control then had to be replaced and on line for the following morning so as not to disrupt the Office environment which was being occupied by several hundred project and commercial managers from numerous M&E contractors.

We were flexible in our approach and coordinated these works successfully with no disruption incidents.

Within a similar Environment at the Heathrow T4 Wine Glass Building a new access control and CCTV system was installed including the required data infrastructure.

Sword had to be flexible and operate over two shift patterns to minimise any disruption to the office environment and deliver to tight deadlines.

This was completed successfully with regular daily updates being provided to the client.
